Server

About the role

The Server is responsible for table service in the Community dining rooms. This position offers daily pay, an annual raise based on performance review, college scholarships for staff and dependents, a staff appreciation bonus, sick time, and holiday pay.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
• Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
• Answers pertinent questions about menu items.
• Correctly enters orders into the POS system while charging the correct resident.
• Setup and breakdown functions and events.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
• Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service processes, and understand special requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers.
• Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.

Pay

Starting at $17.10 dollars per hour.

Schedule

16-20 hours per week; days of the week can vary; 4pm-8pm.
