Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to ensure they have a great experience while dining in our restaurant.
- Maintain a guest focus while performing duties and assume 100% responsibility for quality of guests’ experience.
- Welcome and greet guests within one minute, make all guests feel special, inform them of specials and menu changes.
- Make specific recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS before taking items to the table.
- Communicate customer needs and requests effectively to the kitchen and bar.
- Garnish bar drinks as appropriate, properly open and pour wine tableside.
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
- Pre-bus tables between each course and perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
- Monitor and observe guests' dining experience to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests, provide proactive beverage refills.
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system.
- Assist fellow servers before they ask and thank guests for their visit, inviting them to return.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Notify the manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
- Prepare dining room/section for service (sets tables, condiments, candles, silverware, sanitizes tables-chairs-floors, etc.).
- Assist guests with selections of food and beverage, make suggestions, describe chef’s specials, identify appropriate beverage pairings, and answer food preparation questions.
- Provide a unique and special experience to each guest, every time, anticipating guests' needs.
- Manicure table throughout the entire guest experience (remove all unnecessary items as needed).
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specials, and menu deviations.
- Maintain accurate timing of meal progression.
Requirements
- Be 19 years of age.
- TIPS Certified.
- Able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Available to work between the hours of 10:00 am to 1:00 am.
- Ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Able to stand and work for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Able to perform repetitive motion work without assistance of restraints, braces, or other incumbrances that limit range of motion or physical activity.
- Able to lift, move, and shelve products and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work in temperatures exceeding 85°F for extended periods of time.
- Willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Possess qualities like adaptability, planning, problem-solving, teamwork, and multi-tasking.
- Have above-average drink knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, and how to prepare cocktails from line-build to garnish.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including Monday-Thursday evenings.

Pay
The base hourly pay range for this position is $12.14 per hour plus tips.
