About the role

Windrose on Hudson is a Riverside Conference Experience located off the banks of the Hudson River, within the Croton Bay area. It offers proximity to New York City and surrounding metro areas, an historic and idyllic setting, and a soulful place celebrating the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tables are clean and tidy upon guests' arrival.
• Efficiently take food orders and provide recommendations as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and address special requests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal and medical information.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, adhering to safety standards.
• Assist with additional needs or requests during service periods.
• Scrape plates and address complaints or issues promptly.
• Operate equipment as needed, including fire extinguisher, telephone, iced tea/soda machine, soup well, and coffee machine.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments for special events or functions.

Requirements

• High school education preferred, or up to one month related experience or training.
• Point of sales experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effective communication skills, including writing simple correspondence.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting and moving up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds.
