Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Franklin, TN is hiring Servers to join our team. Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant is a part of the A. Marshall Hospitality family of restaurants, which also includes 7 other Puckett's locations, Scout's Pub, and Deacon's New South. We are a growing business and are looking for a talented person with an energetic and positive personality to contribute to the company's growth.

Job Summary

The Server's responsibility is to provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each server's primary objective is to show our guests such a fantastic time that they will want to return.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
• Handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
• Multi-task and problem-solve while coordinating a wide range of activities
• Conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner under all circumstances, including in a high-paced environment

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Previous restaurant experience highly preferred
• Must pass the federally mandated E-Verify process
• Must have an Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) serving permit within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests
• Have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and beverage frequently weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds
• Must be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership skills and must be outgoing
• Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
• Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems
• Able to conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner under all circumstances, including in a high-paced environment

Pay

$2.13/hr + tips
