About the role

Café on the Green is a hidden gem nestled next to the Walden Golf Club on Walden Road. It offers a welcoming atmosphere for various occasions, from casual to business-related, with a high-quality executive chef and friendly staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Prepare tables with napkins, utensils, condiments, and other essentials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current menus, beverage offerings, and member events.
• Serve items, fulfill requests, up-sell, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill beverages.
• Properly open and pour wine tableside.
• Keep dining areas, bus stations, and service areas clean and organized.
• Set up, break down, and service special events and banquets.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards at all times.
• Communicate products, services, and club offerings to members and guests.
• Aid in all assigned areas of the Food & Beverage operation as needed.
• Setup side stations and complete assigned prep work.
• Greet and assist all members and guests within one minute of seating.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude that reflects the club’s high standards.
• Time the service of each course to provide a smooth dining experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of serving experience preferred (country club or fine dining a plus).
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. alone or with a team member.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
