About the Role

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is currently seeking part-time Servers to join our team. We are looking for responsible, efficient, and team-oriented individuals who can provide high-quality service to our guests. This position is available for immediate hiring.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Ensure tables are clean and tidy for guests
• Present menus and provide detailed information about food, wine, and beverage options
• Upsell menu items and suggest pairings to enhance the guest experience
• Maintain a high standard of sanitation and personal hygiene
• Communicate effectively with staff and departments to ensure guest satisfaction
• Accommodate special requests thoughtfully and with equal regard for all guests
• Maintain general cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to uphold organizational standards

Qualifications

• One year of experience in casual, upscale, or comparable serving roles
• High school diploma or GED
• Positive, articulate, outgoing, and welcoming personality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, upbeat environment
• Comfortable receiving feedback and taking direction
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time
• Availability for weeknight and evening shifts
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state and/or Federal laws

Skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
