About the role

Mexican Sugar is seeking a Server to join our team. We are looking for passionate individuals who can provide exceptional service and create a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Possess a passion for service that is comforting, effortless, warm, and always available to the guest.
• Know the origins, pronunciations, and ingredients of our menu items.
• Recommend the perfect drinks for any occasion, including handcrafted margaritas, sultry red wines, and our extensive tequila library.
• Create regular guests through resort-style service that is bilingual and detailed, but never stuffy or pretentious.
• Inspire your teammates to seek you out for assistance.
• Understand the balance between great service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years serving experience, preferably in high-end casual or fine dining environments.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Properly use knives and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and adhere to regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.
