About the role

Mexican Sugar is seeking a Server to create a fresher, lighter, better Latin experience for guests. The role involves delivering sultry Mexican comfort with service that anticipates guests’ needs, providing graceful, effortless, and warm hospitality while maintaining control and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver passionate, proactive service that stays two steps ahead of guests’ needs.
• Know the origins, pronunciations, and ingredients of menu items as if they were lifelong favorites.
• Recommend the perfect drinks for any occasion, including handcrafted margaritas, sultry red wines, and selections from the tequila library.
• Create regular guests through resort‑style, bilingual, detailed service that remains friendly and unpretentious.
• Inspire teammates to seek assistance and collaborate effectively.
• Balance great service with efficiency, maintaining control in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years serving experience; high‑end casual or fine dining preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lb.
• Proficiency in using a knife and other required service equipment.
• Current Food Handler’s Certification and TABC Certification; adherence to proper sanitation and alcohol service regulations.
