Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests.
• Uphold a high standard of table etiquette and assist with residents' meal and menu selections.
• Engage with residents in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing their dining needs.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with team members regarding absent residents.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting and seating residents promptly.
• Deliver meals to and retrieve trays from residents' rooms, as required.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary dining area and maintain proper food safety protocols.
• Clean the dining area, set up and reset tables, and maintain dining supplies.
• Aid in community marketing efforts by interacting positively with residents, family members, and guests.
• Report any safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards and policies.
• Promote teamwork and open communication through consistent mentoring, coaching, and recognition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older or have proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Complete required background clearances, health screenings, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills (tracking meals/residents).
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Ability to operate standard serving equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comply with state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• Must not be an “Excluded Party” as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, any state Medicaid Programs, and any additional federal and state government contract programs.
• Continually comply with laws and regulations affecting the company, including Resident Rights, HIPAA, State licensing regulations, and professional licenses.
