The Food and Beverage Server is an enthusiastic, engaging culinary guide who interacts with Hotel Burbank guests, ensuring that they have a vibrant, enjoyable dining experience. As a truly multi-talented hospitality artist, they’ll welcome restaurant-goers, take and serve orders, process purchases at the cashier, tend bar, make coffee, and more. This position is an ideal fit for a friendly, colorful, and efficient personality—a person who is passionate about excellent service and sharing the excitement of new food and beverage offerings with locals and visitors alike. Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Providing genuine, warm service to all guests throughout their dining experience, from greeting patrons and serving tables to suggesting dishes, drinks, and new menu items.
• Attending to guest’s requests efficiently and timely.
• Staying knowledgeable about current menu choices, as well as any specialties or deviations.
• Being a preparation pro to set and clean tables, refill condiments, and assist with any other requests.
• Sharing food preparation details and clearly communicating any special guest requests to the kitchen.
• Tending the hotel bar, serving cocktails, and providing drink pairing recommendations.
• Working as a barista to prepare coffee and tea.
• Acting as a cashier to process purchases and provide receipts and change.
• Cleaning as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Assisting with special events as requested by the supervisor.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience serving and hosting in a restaurant setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English verbal and written
• Flexibility is required. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Skills

• Basic Cooking knowledge
• Barista experience
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Bartending skills
