Server

About the role

The Server is responsible for enhancing the overall dining experience for our residents, family members and guests. The Server assists in the delivery of culinary activities for all dining venues: Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room, as well as special events and private functions.

Responsibilities

• Handle all dining venues: Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room, as well as special events and private functions.
• Work in The Sterling Touch® professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely manner, resulting in a high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests.
• Under the general guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor, adhere to Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• One year of serving experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, and understanding the English language to direct, manage, hire and train kitchen staff, complete requisitions, read recipes and communicate with other employees as well as Residents and their guests.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms to use all kitchen equipment and utensils (e.g. knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.).
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

Rotating weekends at a minimum are required. Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
