About the role

The Server at bd is the guest guardian and advisor. They watch over our guests, delivering both food and quality service, and ensuring each guest leaves happy.

Responsibilities

• Bring a professional and well-groomed appearance to the job
• Apply honesty, integrity, and good judgment
• Become familiar with bd’s culture and the establishment
• Communicate in a positive manner
• Execute a recovery strategy and know when to involve a manager
• Set up the dining room confidently
• Know how to describe menu items, features, and promotions
• Suggest desserts and appetizers
• Be Alcohol Server Training Certified and adhere to beverage service procedures and responsible alcohol service rules (TIPS or TABC)
• Know how to perform quality check backs
• Be knowledgeable about cash handling and POS systems
• Interact with guests in an engaging way
• Handle guest complaints with tact and diplomacy
• Understand the importance of table maintenance
• Act as a team member at bd

Requirements

• Alcohol Server Training Certification
• Knowledgeable about menu items, features, and promotions
• Ability to handle cash and POS systems
• Positive communication skills
• Confidence in setting up the dining room
• Ability to manage guest complaints
• Understanding of table maintenance
• Team player attitude
