About the role
As a Server at Auberge du Soleil, you will play a crucial role in creating extraordinary dining experiences. You will be responsible for facilitating the guest dining experience, relating with guests to ensure satisfaction, and contributing to improving F&B sales revenues.Responsibilities
- Facilitate the guest dining experience by taking orders, anticipating needs, and delivering all items efficiently.
- Relate with guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and meals, maintaining a consistently heartfelt and high-quality service.
- Comply with Auberge Collection standards and make thoughtful suggestions for upselling unique menu items.
- Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
- Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
- Ensure that the restaurant is tidy and organized at all times.
- Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of food and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
