Position Summary

The Applebee’s server will Delight our Guests by Exceeding Expectation by serving food and beverages to guests while accommodating the guests’ needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee’s Basic Service Steps and the Service Promise. The Server fosters a culture aligned with the TSFR Roadmap, including Our Core Purpose, Vision, Mission and Core Values.

Essential Job Functions

• Greets guests and interacts with every guest to create a friendly upbeat work environment
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
• Takes guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule
• Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system
• Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS
• Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed guests’ expectations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good attitude toward teamwork
• Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
• Confident, outgoing demeanor
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift up to 20 pounds

Physical And Mental Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Physical demands: Frequently sit, talk, hear, walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting and/or moving objects up to 30 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Mental demands: Frequent communication with others, both verbally and in writing. Teamwork and flexibility to accept change. Must also have the ability to communicate with others, both verbally and in writing
• Work environment: On occasion, to perform the work it may be necessary to travel in an automobile to other locations in the field either alone or accompanied by a co-worker
