Responsibilities

• Serve as a beer guide and ambassador for guests, providing education and a unique experience for those new to craft beer
• Greet guests, explain the beer and food menu, assist with selections, and take orders in a positive and friendly manner
• Attend to guests before, during, and after their meals or drinks
• Assist with to-go orders, beer, and merchandise at the end of each meal
• Serve as an information hub for guests on brewery/taproom details, including upcoming events, beers, food, and specials
• Assist the front-of-house team with side work, such as folding linens, to-go packaging, cleaning the taproom, and other service prep or clean-up tasks

Requirements

• Flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, and food
• Experience with POS systems and basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of craft beer styles
• Alcohol Awareness Training (T.I.P.S. Certification) required; Cicerone Level 1 certification recommended
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
• Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during busy times
• Excellent service attitude, with a willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate guests and exceed expectations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift 25–50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing; use of hands and arms; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, or crouching
• Occasional exposure to extreme heat, wet, or humid conditions
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
• Occasional work in outdoor weather conditions
