About You

We seek a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Food Server for our Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care, be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents, and always strive to do the best job possible. Creativity and a commitment to accomplishing facility goals are essential.

Schedule

• Part-time weekdays: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Part-time weekdays: 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for resident interactions in the dining room.
• Prepare dining tables with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
• Attend to residents as they arrive in the dining area, present menus, and assist in choosing food and beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders, ensuring they are communicated to the kitchen staff promptly.
• Deliver and serve food and beverage items quickly and confirm that each resident has received the correct menu items.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and the kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Assist in transporting food and items to and from the kitchen to dining or resident rooms.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant, or fine dining club is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and explain the menu, address questions, manage the meal service process, and respond to requests.
• Capability to work closely with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers with courtesy, tact, and grace.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, performing basic arithmetic, and following written or oral instructions in English.
• Commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
