What We Do

The Southern Tier team is dedicated to providing exceptional service in the taproom. Our Server Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a clean taproom by clearing empty glasses, plates, silverware, and other items from a table to ensure a pleasurable dining experience and efficient turnover of tables for new guests
• Visually inspect all food leaving expo, ensuring proper plating, sauce application, and presentation; and return any incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen for correction
• Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests
• Maintains appropriate levels of inventory/product for the bar, changing kegs when required
• Aid with other tasks such as cleaning the dining area, restocking server stations, and rolling silverware
• Aid guests and servers/bartenders with other hospitality functions as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Who We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience as a server assistant, utility, or food runner preferred
• Maintain a positive attitude while working with a sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry kegs weighing up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping and reaching

Pay

Pay for this position starts at $10.70 per hour
