About the role

Our Servers assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g., salad bar, breakfast bar) as needed. They present menus to residents, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding meal choices. Orders are recorded and relayed to the kitchen production area. Servers are knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently and quickly deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• Assist with light back-of-house/kitchen duties, including tasks such as salad bar, soup service, portioning desserts, brewing coffee, or other services as needed.
• Assist with clearing tables.
• Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• Six months or more in long-term care, home care, or a related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems.
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• May need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.
