Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Septic Pump Truck Operator to join our team. Whether you have a CDL A or B, this hands-on role offers year-round work, great pay, and room to grow. You will operate vacuum trucks, handle septic systems, perform physical labor such as digging, lifting (septic tank lids), and backfilling while connecting directly with customers. Hiring incentive Schedule for experienced only:
- $1,000 paid after 6 months of employment
- $1,000 paid after 1 year of employment
Eligibility Requirements:
- Valid CDL with no manual transmission restrictions
- Minimum 1 year tanker experience
- Current Tanker Endorsement
- Level 1 Technician Certificate from WOSSA, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial VAC trucks (liquid only)
- 10 to 18 speed manual transmissions
- Use truck-mounted technology to receive job dispatches and document services
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residential clients
- Work independently or with a team to complete scheduled jobs
- Troubleshoot and assess septic systems using critical thinking
- Perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Be available for flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Safely handle tools and equipment as needed
- Maintain a strong interest in continued training and industry certification
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement (required)
- Must be 23 years of age or older to meet insurance eligibility requirements with an acceptable driving record of no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Applicants aged 18 to 22 may be considered on a case-by-case basis, provided they have a clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and commercial vehicle road test
- Willingness to learn and perform hands-on work
- Commitment to earning and maintaining WOSSA certification(s)
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Clear results from the FMCSA Clearinghouse
Work Location:
Rochester, WA, with service areas in Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Lewis counties.
