Responsibilities
- Perform vulnerability assessments against commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software products
- Review, interpret, and communicate vulnerability assessment results
- Participate in working groups and customer meetings
- Contribute to the enhancement of assessment capabilities by developing and implementing improved methodology, processes, infrastructure, tools, and deliverables
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in the above disciplines with 0 years of related experience
- U.S. citizenship with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application (current and within scope, less than 6 years)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period
- Minimum 2 years of combined experience in software engineering, software or hardware testing, systems security engineering, or electrical engineering, or 0 years with a Master’s degree in the above fields
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of starting
- Familiarity with developing, documenting, and executing formal test plans and procedures, with a focus on vulnerability/penetration testing and counterfeit part assurance
Preferred qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Certifications such as OSCP, GREM, PenTest+, or comparable industry-recognized credentials
- Experience using penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nessus, ACAS, OpenVAS)
- Experience validating software configurations (e.g., STIG, OpenSCAP)
- Experience with software forensics activities and processes
- Experience with SCRM chain of custody processes and procedures
- Experience with software or hardware reverse engineering and exploratory reconnaissance
- Experience performing OSINT analysis
- Familiarity with MBSE concepts and tools to trace security requirements to test verification
- Experience bridging software and hardware in cross-disciplinary testing

Pay
Primary level salary range: $79,300.00 – $118,900.00
Base salary is determined by position scope, responsibilities, and candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual and company performance.
Schedule
Standard work schedule is a 9/80 schedule, allowing employees to work nine-hour days Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.
