Sentinel - Principal Systems Engineer - 18410

Responsibilities

• Complete tasking with minimum oversight.
• Work alongside other SMT teams supporting the Advanced Equipment SMT Lead.
• Understand and apply system requirements.
• Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems.
• Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
• Create technical reports and present technical information.
• Coordinate with AF customer and Subcontractor.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, 3 years with a master’s degree.
• Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) preferred.
• Experience in Requirements Verification and tools such as DOORS.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and tools such as Cameo.
• Experience in review/approval of test plans/procedures and test reports.
• Prior Supplier Management Experience on a Program in the Development phase.
• Technical evaluations of supplier proposals & subsequent contract negotiations.
• Experience in creating and monitoring technical risks and opportunities.
