About the role
This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. The role will be the technical SME for the division to support Manufacturing Engineering and related functions within our digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES.
Responsibilities
- Support Production Operation Systems and Technology
- Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership
- Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision to develop and manage achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses
- Utilize process improvement methodology and software tools such as Earned Value, milestone payments, and data analysis
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals
- Experience in MBOMs, OBOM, Work Instructions
- Proficient in the principles of digital tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- SAP Certifications
- Understanding of MRP
- Experience in the performance of system integration testing
- Experience writing functional specifications
Qualifications
- Principal Engineer Manufacturing Systems: 5 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science STEM Degree; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD
- 2+ Years of experience using software for manufacturing (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM)
- Senior Principal Engineer Manufacturing Systems: 8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science STEM Degree; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
- 4+ Years of experience using software for manufacturing (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM)
Skills
- Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals
- Experience in MBOMs, OBOM, Work Instructions
- Proficient in the principles of digital tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain
- Develops cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership
- Experience with Project Management and manufacturing schedules
- Software tools
- Understanding of schedule waterfall builds with setbacks to independent demands
- Utilizes process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)
- Experience with cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)
- Experience with data analysis and/or data mining
- Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
- Proven ability to combine material flow management expertise with outstanding information knowledge
- Experience with the financial aspects of the business
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Possess strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds

Pay
- Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
Schedule
The standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
