About the role

We are seeking a leader with procurement and sustainability experience to lead the development of our strategy to reduce our scope 3 emissions globally for Global Customer Fulfillment. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The position will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute the supplier strategy to hit our ambitious scope 3 goals for Packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the chief architect for the vision, roadmap, and strategy to deliver our net zero carbon footprint across all Packaging scope 3 emissions.
  • Develop mechanisms and tools to track historical records, build and maintain forecasts, and improve data fidelity of WWGS’s carbon footprint.
  • Work with Category leaders to analyze our current footprint position and develop short- and long-term decarbonization strategies for Packaging, supporting material financial decisions.
  • Lead the setting and tracking of WWGS’s carbon intensity reduction goals on an annual and long-term (2030 and beyond) basis to secure alignment across executives.
  • Independently drive narratives and briefs for executives on the carbon program.
  • Create tactical decarbonization roadmaps to pilot and implement lower carbon solutions.
  • Act as the key lead and liaison for carbon initiatives across our Procurement organization.
  • Earn the trust of key stakeholders to drive alignment with the business.
  • Develop a category strategy in conjunction with internal customers to ensure a comprehensive, unified approach for the category.
  • Achieve yearly cost saving or value targets appropriate to the category, aligned with annual budget processes.
  • Define and report on key metrics that measure the effectiveness of supply and cost savings.
  • Champion standards and process improvements.

Candidate must be able to travel, up to 20%.

Requirements

  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in supply chain.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading process improvements.

Pay

Base salary ranges by location:

  • USA, AZ, Tempe: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, TN, Nashville: $103,900.00 - $148,400.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Houston: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $115,400.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
