About the Team
GovPlanet, a Ritchie Bros Company, specializes in helping state, local, and federal agencies—including military—efficiently sell surplus equipment such as material assets, excavators, trucks, and Humvees. The team manages complex administrative and logistical operations for remarketing surplus equipment, enabling customers to focus on core business goals for faster sales and higher returns.
We are offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for this role. Temporary workers or internal RB Global employees are not eligible.
Responsibilities
- Act as a lead or coordinate assigned activities
- Receive and release (check-in/check-out) inventory
- Perform joint physical inventories at government locations
- Use systems to track and process inventory
- Drive and operate heavy and light equipment
- Perform facility inspections (per checklists) and provide housekeeping or maintenance services
- Perform maintenance and heavy repairs on equipment
- Merchandise and inspect items for sale; boost equipment
- Perform complex demilitarization and deidentification
- Check fluid and fuel levels on equipment
- Assist in coordinating logistics
- Interact with customers
- Travel to other locations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Good customer service skills for both internal and external customers
- High school diploma or GED required
- Travel up to 80% may be required
- Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly
