About the Role

As part of Accenture Communications, the Editorial team tells the Accenture story through multiple lenses and formats to help the company strengthen its reputation and advance its impact and growth in the marketplace. By writing and editing high-quality content, the team helps advance Accenture Communications' goals and serves as stewards of the highest editorial standards.

The Senior Writer - Editor, Communications Editorial Executive Communications, helps strengthen and protect Accenture's brand and reputation by shaping clear, compelling communications that support the company's CEO and senior leaders and speak to its most important audiences. This role is ideal for a strategic, curious and highly collaborative writer who can quickly understand complex business, technology and reputational issues and turn them into crisp, human, executive-ready communication. As part of Accenture's global Editorial team, you'll work on high-visibility and business-critical moments including executive engagements, major announcements, internal communications, media opportunities and client-facing events. The ideal candidate will bring excellent writing and editing skills, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and the ability to write with clarity, precision and voice.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write and edit CEO and senior leader communications for key moments, including major announcements, executive engagements, media opportunities, internal communications and client-facing events
  • Develop key messages, talking points, video scripts, speeches, articles, reports and social media posts for internal, external and marketplace channels
  • Collaborate with Communications leaders, business stakeholders, subject matter experts and marketing partners to shape ideas and narratives aligned to Accenture's strategic priorities
  • Interview subject matter experts, executives and others across Accenture to inform CEO and executive communications
  • Connect ideas across Accenture's business priorities, reputation themes and strategic initiatives to develop cohesive storylines
  • Partner with Senior Editors and the Editorial Lead to develop content for senior leaders
  • Uphold the highest editorial standards and ensure application of Accenture's style guide

  • Flexibility in order to accommodate pre-scheduled global meetings, across all geographies

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of communications or marketing writing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience writing for and with executives to shape messages and content

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in a large global enterprise
  • Experience in communicating complex information and developing compelling external messages
  • A writing portfolio demonstrating executive voice, complex business topics, external messaging and strong editorial judgment
  • Knowledge of core communications and editorial essentials, including strategic message development, executive communications and AP style
  • Track record of writing internal and external messaging, including talking points, news releases, video and audio content, social media and content for events with multiple speakers
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with demonstrated excellence in creating and articulating positions
  • Proven track record of ghostwriting in an executive voice
  • Experience in communicating about multiple industries
  • Able to use generative AI tools thoughtfully and responsibly to support research, drafting, editing and message development while maintaining strong editorial judgment and quality control
  • Experience in business or tech communications/journalism a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Able to work quickly across functions and geographies while adapting to changing timelines
  • Able to write with cultural fluency and sensitivity for global internal and external audiences
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting, either civilian or military

Pay

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired. Annual salary ranges by location: California $94,400 to $293,800; Cleveland $87,400 to $235,000; Colorado $94,400 to $253,800; District of Columbia $100,500 to $270,300; Illinois $87,400 to $253,800; Maine $80,400 to $216,200; Maryland $94,400 to $253,800; Massachusetts $94,400 to $270,300; Minnesota $94,400 to $253,800; New York $87,400 to $293,800; New Jersey $100,500 to $293,800; Virginia $87,400 to $270,300; Washington $100,500 to $270,300.
