About the role
As a Senior Writer, Editorial – Development at Stand Together, you will produce high-stakes, donor-facing written materials used by senior leaders and fundraising teams. This role is focused near-exclusively on writing, turning complex ideas into clear, compelling, and persuasive products that are ready for external audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine donor-facing written materials, including letters, reports, and case studies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and fundraising teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals.
- Manage tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content under senior-level visibility.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into written materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a writer, preferably in a development or fundraising context.
- Strong understanding of audience engagement and storytelling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
