Senior Writer
About the role
Recognized as a leader in the higher education marketing industry, SimpsonScarborough is a fully remote team of approximately 70 employees working coast to coast. We are seeking a Senior Writer to craft compelling words that bring our clients' brands to life across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Write compelling headlines, copy, and calls to action across a range of brand and campaign deliverables — media, social, print, environmental, audio, and more.
- Develop brand narratives that support and sell the underlying creative idea, contributing conceptual thinking that communicates client strategy in bold, engaging ways.
- Define brand voices that are distinctive, strategic, and built to stand out in the market.
- Create verbal systems for brands and campaigns, including copy frameworks and guidelines for consistent application.
- Collaborate closely with creative peers to sharpen ideas and executional details, consistently delivering work the agency can take pride in.
- Produce high-quality, strategically grounded creative work that communicates the real emotional benefits behind what our clients need to say.
- Support collaborators across teams with writing contributions that make their work more powerful — and keep your manager looped in on those exchanges.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of agency copywriting experience.
- A competitive portfolio of creative copywriting work from the past four years.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational instincts — able to prioritize, problem-solve independently, and escalate when needed.
- Comfortable collaborating with remote, cross-functional teams nationwide.

Pay
Salary starts at $85,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
