Role Overview
Serve as a liaison between HR business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
Own end-to-end solution design and architecture for Workday HCM Security
Combine deep HR functional knowledge with hands-on technical skills to design scalable, compliant, and efficient enterprise solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security solution design across multiple Workday modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, Payroll)
- Translate HR business requirements into scalable Workday security configurations
- Design, develop, and support Workday security functionality (security groups, user/role assignments, domain security, authentication, proxy policies)
- Carry out security impact assessments for releases, enhancements, and regulatory changes
- Follow SDLC framework for enhancements and projects
- Own and manage security governance frameworks (access, role rationalization, audit readiness)
- Conduct regular audits to ensure Workday access accuracy and compliance
- Respond to security audit requests in collaboration with HR, HR Risk, and leadership teams
- Drive process improvements and innovative initiatives in Workday security
- Serve as Workday Security SME; provide guidance and training to the internal Workday Security team
Required Experience
- 4+ years of Workday experience in HCM security
- Experience with Workday configuration and a strong understanding of HR processes/procedures
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
