About the role

MTSI is seeking a Senior Weapon Systems Integration Engineer to support an advanced air platform program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews specifications, designs, and technical data related to air vehicles, control surfaces, control laws, propulsion systems, stores, mission systems, software, and integration of all these aspects.
  • Informs, reviews, and conducts tradespace analysis to better facilitate design exploration between cost, schedule, suitability, performance, risk, and effectiveness.
  • Edits and review test plans and review test results from system, subsystem, and component testing.
  • Helps develop, trace, and reviews technical attributes, designs, and implementations of weapon systems.
  • Collaborates with weapon system and payload developers, test personnel, and safety boards on areas related to system testing to ensure successful delivery of capabilities.
  • Reviews technical packages to support updating, refinement, and verification of requirements.

Requirements

  • 12+ years' experience of relevant Department of War program experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SAP and/or SCI environment, with at least 1 year within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to work on high-visibility, mission-critical aspects of a program and perform all functional duties independently.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing concisely and with technical accuracy.
  • To translate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of action.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or relevant field.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in the development, integration, and testing of advanced air vehicles and associated weapon systems.
  • Experience in system engineering activities across airframe structures, control surfaces, control laws, propulsion, mission systems, stores integration, and embedded software.
  • Ability to evaluate design approaches and ensure systems meet mission, safety, and performance requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP and/or SCI environments.
