About the role
This is NOT a traditional financial advisor role. You will NOT be: Prospecting, Cold calling, Networking for referrals, Managing assets, Building financial plans, Hunting for clients. Instead, you’ll spend your time having sophisticated consultative conversations with affluent retirees and pre-retirees who have already expressed interest in advanced retirement tax planning strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 25-30 pre-scheduled Zoom consultations per week with high-net-worth prospects generated directly through the client's marketing engine.
- Use the client’s diagnostic framework to assess retirement planning concerns and tax exposure risks.
- Educate prospects on retirement tax mitigation and Roth conversion planning concepts.
- Create meaningful “epiphany moments” that help prospects understand the long-term impact of tax planning decisions.
- Build trust and credibility through clear, consultative communication.
- Guide prospects through the decision-making process without relying on pressure-based sales tactics.
- Manage follow-up conversations and pipeline activity with discipline and consistency.
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecasting.
- Participate in coaching sessions, team reviews, and ongoing training initiatives.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and close-rate targets.
- Contribute positively to a high-performance, coachable team culture.
Requirements
- CFP® designation in good standing (non-negotiable)
- 5+ years in a client-facing financial planning, advisory, or consultative financial services role
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals
- Strong consultative communication skills
- Clean U4 regulatory history
- Confidence presenting premium planning fees
- Strong executive presence and professionalism on Zoom
- High emotional intelligence and active listening ability
- Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management skills
- Coachable mindset with willingness to follow a proven process
- CRM experience preferred
