About the role

CLA is looking to hire a Senior Wealth Advisor to work in our Minneapolis, MN office. The SWA serves as a relationship manager providing Total Wealth Advisory—a comprehensive, planning-led experience anchored in a personal financial plan and spanning a client’s financial and tax needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a relationship manager providing Total Wealth Advisory
  • Lead client strategy and delegate work appropriately
  • Manage a book of client relationships
  • Deliver a high-touch experience with strong follow-through
  • Work in an environment where planning and tax integration elevate the advice and client stickiness
  • Grow the practice by leveraging real, organic access rather than paid lead programs
  • Build and maintain complex, transitional, and multi-generational client relationships, including those involving women navigating moments like business liquidity, divorce, widowhood, caregiving, and career shifts

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible financial services experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • FINRA Series 65 or 66 required
  • Preferred existing transferrable book of business

Qualifications

  • Experience in tax, investments, financial planning, insurance, and estate and retirement planning
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients with varying needs and complexities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of tax and financial planning
  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to integrate tax and financial planning

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $108,100 – $192,000. This role is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on company performance and other factors.
