About the role

The Senior Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead plays a vital role in helping clients achieve long-term financial success by serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for moderate- and high-net-worth households. This role is focused on retaining and growing net assets over time by delivering proactive, tailored financial advice through a highly personal and strategic approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client team, working in close collaboration with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to build lasting relationships with a dedicated book of Empower clients enrolled in our Premier and Brokerage services.
  • Deliver a first-class client experience by leading proactive, personalized conversations that address onboarding, financial planning, and ongoing investment education.
  • Engage clients through a combination of video conference, email, phone, and meetings in person—balancing proactive outreach with responsive service to meet evolving needs.
  • Retain and grow assets under management by building trust through clear communication, meaningful education, and thoughtful follow-through.
  • Guide clients through Empower’s investment strategy, helping them understand and implement portfolio solutions aligned with their goals, risk tolerance, and financial plan.
  • Deliver holistic financial planning across a wide range of topics, including retirement income strategies, tax-efficient savings, and education planning—partnering with Planning Specialists on more complex planning scenarios.
  • Coordinate with your advisory team and stakeholders across Empower Personal Wealth to ensure timely and effective resolution of client needs.
  • Model leadership within the client team by delegating, coaching, and developing colleagues to enhance performance and elevate the client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years related work experience in financial services and client experience
  • Previous experience with direct client contact while exhibiting a knowledgeable, professional demeanor is required
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
  • FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, financial planning, tax and income optimization, and estate planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; detail oriented; able to manage many time-sensitive tasks simultaneously; pro-active self-starter, strong situational awareness and contextual thinking, and strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Exceptional at delivering effective client consultations – always composed, professional, and skilled at establishing trust and building long-term client relationships
  • Prioritize and demonstrate proven ability to navigate multiple client needs, deliver on multi-product goals, and analyze and present investment portfolios to clients

  • Base Salary Range $87,400.00 - $123,400.00
