About the role
Provides advanced financial advice and complex portfolio management guidance to High Net Worth clients. As a Wealth Advisor within Vanguard's Personal Wealth division, you will develop tailored strategies to help ultra-high net worth clients achieve their unique financial goals. You will provide advice using ongoing portfolio management solutions targeting clients and prospects with portfolios of $5 to $15M in investable assets using Vanguard products and the fullest expression of our wealth management offer.
Responsibilities
- Onboard clients and manage a book of business that can include high-profile and influential individuals and families.
- Communicate Vanguard’s investment philosophy and make recommendations considering client suitability, risk tolerance, appropriate saving and spending strategies.
- Provide financial planning solutions using Vanguard’s time-tested research and investment methodology to give clients the best chance for investment success.
- Work in a collaborative team environment, partnering with internal resources to serve client needs and goals related to investment advice, tax strategies, legacy and estate planning, philanthropic giving, and corporate trust services.
- Manage trusts, both as an investment manager and when Vanguard serves as corporate trustee, in partnership with internal Trust Administrators.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of financial planning, capital markets, and the financial industry, and coach and support peers.
- Represent Vanguard at conferences and client visits with strong executive presence.
Requirements
- CFP® designation required; additional certifications such as CFA, CTFA, or CPA preferred.
- Series 7, 63, or 66 regulatory license and/or registration (e.g., FINRA, state, SFC) as well as the SIE or ability to acquire once in the role.
- 7+ years of financial advice, financial planning, book of business management, and relationship management experience.
- Experience applying trust and estate planning knowledge to help preserve clients' wealth.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Considerations
- This role is designated as remote and must be performed within Florida, with a primary work location in the Miami metropolitan area (preference for residing within a 50-mile radius of Miami).
- Attendance at periodic in-person meetings, team events, training sessions, or other business-related travel may be required.
- Occasional travel to Vanguard sites for client meetings or local and national professional conferences may be required.
- Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
