Senior Wealth Advisor
About the role
This position ensures the growth and development of the Wealth, Financial Planning, and Financial Advisory aspects of the business line. The Senior Wealth Advisor will partner with business line leaders to develop and execute effective wealth management strategies targeted at acquiring, deepening, and retaining wealth management and banking clients. This role includes strategies for identifying consumer and business investor needs, assisting with the acquisition and administration of investment accounts, and providing financial planning services. The position will lead and coordinate with various leaders of the Trust Company to create consistent client engagement and sales behaviors for all positions. There is room to grow within the Trust Company, depending on the applicant’s level of interest, motivation, and skill.
Responsibilities
- Represent Riverview Trust Company by delivering high-quality client service in a professional, caring, and competent manner.
- Lead the sales growth process by achieving sales goals to promote growth, revenue, and profitability targets for wealth management.
- Actively call and develop high-value prospects and clients to market trust and investment management services, and work with centers of influence to cultivate similar business opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships with prospects to open fiduciary and investment accounts.
- Identify new prospects through participation in community activities and events.
- Provide support for revenue growth, including answering inbound prospect calls, managing calendar and email, preparing correspondence, scanning, filing, and other organizational tasks.
- Prepare and process forms and account paperwork for new and existing clients.
- Obtain and occasionally notarize client signatures on various forms and account paperwork.
- Prepare for client meetings, including coordinating attendees and meeting locations, assembling materials, and preparing reports.
- Perform research and analysis of a somewhat technical nature upon request (with supervision).
- Plan and manage events, including invitations, RSVPs, venue coordination, catering, guest speakers, and materials.
- Coordinate marketing efforts and projects between the Trust Company and Riverview Bank.
- Assist with account maintenance and management by monitoring and auditing reports and client accounts as needed.
- Assist the Private Wealth team with the financial planning process, including data entry, basic analysis, report preparation, and research.
- Maintain and update personal knowledge to stay current with trends in estate, retirement, and financial-planning topics and strategies.
- Manage the quarterly newsletter, including coordinating article preparation, managing mailing lists, and monitoring deadlines.
- Follow all Riverview Trust Company and applicable Riverview Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of related experience interacting with clients daily, prioritizing workload, meeting deadlines, and managing numerous projects.
- Some knowledge of trust and fiduciary law and trust account procedures desired.
- Bachelor’s degree; experience in financial services or a combination of education and experience.
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) preferred.

- Expert ability to recommend and offer different products and services.
- Ability to create proposals, build lists or databases of sales leads, and pitch new opportunities to prospects.
- Effectively analyzes client activity and identifies opportunities for revenue growth or cost reduction.
- Successfully develops new sales markets and maintains knowledge of global services.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to effectively communicate via phone, video, messaging, and email.
- Required to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, and computer software like Microsoft Office.

Pay
The salary for this role will be between $145,000 and $175,000, depending on the applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.
