Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop business and manage clients and projects in coastal projects including beach nourishment, shoreline stabilization, dredging, environmental restoration and mitigation, etc.
- Task and project management, including waterfront and coastal engineering investigations and planning work, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the waterfront and coastal engineering work in marine related projects;
- Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
- Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;
- Reviewing and managing written document production;
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.

Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, or environmental engineering, coastal science, or closely related field of study. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Professional registration (e.g., EIT or PE) (preferred)
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- At least 8 years (10+ years preferred) of experience in a consulting environment in the coastal/waterfront industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Exceptional social skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills, in English. (required)
- Proficiency with mapping or drafting software such as ArcGIS or AutoCAD. (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support project work. (preferred)
