Senior Water Resources Engineer

Responsibilities

• Hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) studies and drainage, stormwater management (SWM) and erosion/sediment control (ESC) design primarily for transportation projects.
• Environmental permit and contract document development.
• Quality control/peer reviews.
• Marketing and business development support.
• Staff mentoring and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 16+ years of hydrology/hydraulics/drainage/SWM/ESC design experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 6 months through comity from another state.
• Experience designing drainage, stormwater management systems/BMP’s, erosion and sediment pollution controls; and preparing contract documents.
• Experience with PA Turnpike Commission, and PA municipalities a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PennDOT/PA Turnpike specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with H/H design software including HY-8, NRCS (TR-55/TR-20); HydroCAD, StreamStats, HEC-RAS, et. al.
• Hands-on experience with MicroStation CADD software.
• Understanding of 3D design, including OpenRoads Designer, a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience on PennDOT projects is required.
• Experience with the PA Turnpike or PA municipalities is a plus.
