Responsibilities
- Complete complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Design water resources improvements, including:
- Stream restoration
- Dam improvements
- Storm drain systems
- Stormwater management retrofits
- Prepare construction documents and secure all necessary approvals
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility through construction
- Manage client communication and maintain strong relationships
- Lead construction observation and documentation
- Manage engineering/CAD technicians, surveyors, and sub-consultants
- Oversee the quality and delivery of all engineering documents
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, or ability to obtain within 3 months
- 7+ years of water resources engineering experience
- Strong experience across all phases of project delivery, including:
- Feasibility and conceptual design
- Detailed design and construction documentation
- Permitting
- Construction management and documentation
- Proven ability to lead projects and engage directly with clients
Qualifications
- Familiarity with permitting in:
- Montgomery County
- Prince George's County
- Howard County
- Maryland SHA and MDE
- Experience with:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Microsoft Project
- ArcGIS
- Local ties to Prince George's County are a plus
