Who are we looking for?

The Central US Water business at GHD is growing throughout Texas and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Work with a team to support client development and strategic growth of the business both locally and regionally
  • Build credible relationships with clients, teaming partners, and the community
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance
  • Cover permitting processes and ensure environmental and safety compliance
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documents
  • Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements
  • Participate in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers
  • Lead or assist in the development of facility and or utility master plans
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of wastewater treatment and conveyance projects
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams
  • Oversee permitting processes and ensure environmental and safety compliance
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Lead proposal development efforts for new business
  • Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales and marketing
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date
  • 10+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central US region; preference to 10 years of experience in the Texas market
  • Significant experience in de-salination plants, water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and pump station
  • Significant experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget
  • Strong ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies including TCEQ, and EPA
