Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to work in our growing Water Practice. Baxter & Woodman works with municipal clients on projects of all sizes, putting the client and the solution first.
Responsibilities
- Develop hydraulic models of water distribution systems.
- Conduct advanced hydraulic modeling to inform infrastructure planning and optimize operations.
- Lead preparation of water system master plans.
- Evaluate and design potable water facilities and water mains.
- Manage water distribution system study and design projects.
- Perform quality control reviews of water models, reports, and/or design.
- Lead teams of project engineers and technical support staff.
- Prepare plans and specifications for construction.
- Represent Baxter & Woodman at municipal meetings.
- Prepare competitive proposals and participate in interviews.
- Develop business in the Chicagoland area.
Requirements
- 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
- Illinois P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).
- 6+ years of experience in potable water system analysis and design.
- Expertise in potable water hydraulic modeling, including master planning.
- Expertise with ArcGIS and WaterGEMS and/or InfoWater Pro.
- Experience in delivering detailed water system design and plan preparation.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's Illinois service areas (own transportation) and attend client and in-office meetings as required.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal and organizational skills.

- Must have 6+ years of experience in potable water system analysis and design.
- Must have expertise in potable water hydraulic modeling, including master planning.
- Must have expertise with ArcGIS and WaterGEMS and/or InfoWater Pro.
- Must have experience in delivering detailed water system design and plan preparation.
- Must have the ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's Illinois service areas (own transportation) and attend client and in-office meetings as required.
- Must have excellent technical writing skills.

Benefits
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
