Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer with Security Clearance

About the role

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualization and storage solutions within a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex storage systems and virtual environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement storage architectures that support enterprise-level virtualization platforms.
• Manage and optimize storage infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy virtualized solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in virtualization and storage management.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in virtualization and storage engineering.
• Experience with major virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with storage protocols such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NAS.
• Strong understanding of data center operations and ITIL best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with cloud-based storage services and virtualization tools.

Skills

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of network protocols and hardware components.
• Experience with storage management software (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC).

Pay

The estimated annual salary for this position is $191,401.
