Senior Videographer
About the role
The right candidate sweats the details and is not satisfied until every edit, whether a 15-second social ad or a 10-minute feature, is the best it can be. They care about each shot, getting creative and putting in the work to be something that makes them proud. In this role you'll shape the creative direction of video content alongside photographers, designers, copywriters, and marketing managers, telling unique stories and capturing what it means to be an Aggie.
Responsibilities
- Conduct shoots independently or as part of a team utilizing lighting, audio, and camera equipment to achieve consistent and quality results.
- Communicate with marketing managers to identify clients' needs and develop concepts for video production projects of varied duration and complexity.
- Manage all projects within ClickUp, our workflow management software, to ensure deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress.
- Backup and organize all video content onto a server in a manner that is easily accessible to others.
- Assist with photography in various aspects of shooting and postproduction process.
- Manage USU's YouTube channel, ensuring all videos have a standardized title, description, caption and thumbnail; recommend, manage and shoot content for this channel.
- Handle video requests from external groups on campus or media agencies and deliver the appropriate content.
- Provide hands-on training, mentorship and resources to student workers, faculty and staff across campus working on independent video projects.
- Drive forward creative video ideas, continually improve processes and contribute to a high-efficiency team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Film, Communications, or related field plus 4+ years of professional videography experience; OR 8 years equivalent experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Mac OS and the operation of advanced editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve.
- Experience operating drones, Part 107 license preferred.
- Proven editing skills that demonstrate your ability to take on various projects.
- Online video portfolio demonstrating a variety of shooting environments and styles.

Advertised Salary
$53,010-$60,000 commensurate with experience plus excellent benefits

This position requires nearly continuous standing, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead.
