About the role

The Senior Video Storyteller will own the vision, quality, and development of Socure's video content, from concept through final cut. This role operates under a decentralized capture model, where the storyteller designs standards for pre-production and post-production while equipping and directing distributed teams and freelancers to film in various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute creative visions that align with Socure's brand and business goals.
  • Develop best-in-class social video content that resonates with audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Design and implement a decentralized capture model, equipping and directing remote teams and freelancers to produce high-quality content.
  • Set and enforce pre- and post-production standards, including shot lists, capture specifications, and brand guidelines, ensuring that decentralized footage remains cohesive and on-brand.
  • Provide creative direction on set and remotely, including casting, briefing crews, and maintaining quality across all shoots.
  • Ensure post-production quality, overseeing editing, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, and versioning across various formats.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning video projects from conception to completion, demonstrating a portfolio of standout, original work.
  • Strong hands-on skills in video production, including camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and editing (Premiere, Resolve, or equivalent).
  • Experience building or operating distributed capture models, managing external partners, vendors, and freelance talent.
  • Producer-grade instincts for budgeting, scheduling, and on-set direction, capable of protecting the creative vision without sacrificing quality.
  • A relentless, self-directed approach to tackling challenging creative problems.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in social, digital, and broadcast video production.
  • Experience scaling creative teams or networks from the ground up.
  • Understanding of video marketing strategies and how to leverage them to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
