Senior Video Editor — Storytelling & Brand Content
About the role
Help people change their lives through the power of storytelling. At NGT Academy, education creates opportunity. Every day we meet people ready to rewrite their future — veterans starting a new chapter, parents building stability for their families, career changers taking a leap into tech. Our job is to tell those stories with honesty, clarity, and purpose, and reach hundreds of thousands of people a year doing it.
We're looking for a Senior Video Editor who believes editing is far more than assembling footage. It's finding the emotional truth inside a story and shaping it so it moves people to act. You'll own post-production from raw footage to final delivery across YouTube documentaries, student success stories, brand films, ad campaigns, and social media — shaping how people experience NGT everywhere they meet us.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling stories from interviews, documentaries, and testimonials
- Turn hours of footage into clear, emotionally engaging narratives
- Find the strongest moments, cut the distractions, and build pacing that feels effortless
- Raise every project through music, sound design, motion graphics, typography, and color
- Keep creative quality consistent across every platform
- Own projects end to end while collaborating with marketers, educators, and producers
- Bring emerging AI tools and modern techniques to the work without losing the authenticity of the story
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional editing experience
- An outstanding portfolio built on storytelling and cinematic editing, not just technical polish
- Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro
- A strong command of pacing, visual rhythm, and narrative structure
- Real experience cutting interviews into compelling stories
- Meticulous organization and clear communication, with the ability to run several projects at once
Qualifications
What makes someone exceptional here:
- You care more about storytelling than software
- You notice the details most people overlook
- You know when silence is more powerful than music, and that great editing often means removing, not adding
- You welcome feedback because you want the strongest possible work
- You take ownership, solve problems, and keep refining long after a project is "done"

How we work
- Story before spectacle

- Progress before perfection
