Senior Vice President of Nursing, Associate Chief Nursing Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CNE and executive leadership to drive nursing excellence aligned with Grady’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate, and culturally intelligent care.
  • Lead nursing quality and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Foster a culture of belonging, inclusion, and professional growth, ensuring Grady nurses feel valued and empowered.
  • Represent nursing leadership in hospital-wide committees and advocacy efforts focused on health equity and underserved communities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree required in Nursing (MSN) or Hospital Administration (MHA); Doctorate (DNP, PhD) preferred.
  • Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive nursing leadership experience in healthcare required, preferably in an urban safety-net hospital or large health system. (Prior ACNO or CNO experience strongly preferred).
  • Expertise in Pathway to Excellence, Magnet, or similar nursing excellence programs preferred.
  • Certifications: NEA-BC or CENP strongly preferred.
