Senior Vice President, Global Media Planning and Strategy (CPG/Drink Account)

About the role
The Senior Vice President will lead global media planning and strategy for a high-profile Drink/Beverage account. This role is a strategic leader and business partner who contributes to strategy, builds and maintains client relationships at all levels, and manages a team while actively participating in the deployment of strategic plans across paid, owned, and earned media. The SVP is fiscally accountable for budget management and identifying revenue opportunities for the agency.
Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact and partner for assigned clients
- Develop, implement, and execute strategy to deliver on short- and long-term goals (e.g., traffic, ROI, customer count, 1P audience growth, and brand metrics)
- Support the client’s media initiatives, including vendor-centric, endemic and non-endemic, and audience-led RMN omnichannel planning
- Actively listen to clients and identify opportunities to lead thinking
- Serve as the team leader for client interactions, fostering positive relationships
- Evaluate a wide range of media vehicles to determine the most effective way to reach the target audience and deliver on traffic and performance goals
- Effectively communicate and solicit agreement on the best opportunities for the client
- Ensure the quality of all client deliverables
- Supervise, train, and develop staff (manage workload, delegate, and oversee projects and resources, performance management)
- Develop process improvements and best practices to ensure consistency, flexibility, and efficiency, resulting in solutions that meet or exceed client expectations
- Cross-sell interagency products and services
- Collaborate with business intelligence/analytics, data, and investment teams to ensure strategic plans are powered by campaign performance data and marketplace opportunity
- Lead and mentor a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights
- 12+ years of relevant experience with progressive levels of responsibility and business acumen in marketing, communications, and team management
- Demonstrated ability to generate 1P audience strategies that can be translated into effective media activation
- Proven experience and success in presenting plans to clients and influencing top-level decisions
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills—navigates effectively through difficult issues, builds consensus, and drives business results
- Excellent leadership, management, and motivational skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills—effectively presents formal POVs internally and externally
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and quantitative/analytical skills
- Strong client presentation and business writing skills
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Critical assessor of talent—builds and motivates high-performing teams
- Able to direct long-range planning and manage projects, resources, stakeholders, participants, and deadlines

Pay
Compensation range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $299,637.00 annually. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience, consistent with applicable law.
