Senior Veterinarian

About the role

We are currently looking for a Senior Veterinarian to oversee our state-of-the-art facility located in the Boston area. This position will work alongside a few veterinarians and several other staff members. This is a great opportunity for someone to grow into the position of Director of Operations and manage all facilities. The facility will eventually operate seven days a week, so building a strong team of veterinarians is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Work with a Regional Operations Manager and the Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior patient care
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in wellness care
• Perform dentals
• Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets

Requirements

• Must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of veterinarian experience working for a vet hospital
• Eligible to obtain Massachusetts State Veterinary License

$160,000 – $180,000 per year
