About the role
The Sr. VDC Coordinator leads and manages the implementation of virtual design and construction (VDC) processes and technologies on complex construction projects. The role requires a deep understanding of VDC principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement VDC plans and procedures for projects.
- Manage and coordinate the work of VDC team members on the project.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different project stakeholders regarding VDC processes.
- Use VDC tools and technologies to create and manage 3D models, perform clash detection, and generate other deliverables.
- Support the project team in using VDC to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest VDC technologies and trends.
- Afford assistance in other duties as assigned, relevant to the achievement of the position’s and team’s objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a VDC role.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of VDC principles and practices.
- Experience with VDC tools and technologies (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include industry BIM Certification (Revit Professional, CM-BIM, or related).
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, IPD and other modern contractual delivery processes.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and cloud-based tools like BIM 360 Glue, Field, Team, & Docs.
Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
