Senior UX/UI Designer
About the role
The Affera Mapping and Ablation System is an innovative medical technology designed to treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Your role will be at the intersection of design and innovation, working with a team of product managers, clinical specialists, engineers, and designers to guide the design of our products and shape what amazing experiences look and feel like from a user perspective.
Responsibilities
- Develop a clear product design vision, anchored to our overall product marketing strategy and our purpose as an organization, ensuring there is a strong connection and understanding of this vision within the team
- Ensure there is a constant and holistic focus on the customer experience and work to ensure you deliver the highest standards of design and experiences across all customer touch points
- Help evolve the product design organization to meet our needs now and in the future
- Lead on this journey to maturity, ensuring the team and stakeholders are connected, inspired, and fully engaged in this journey
- Continually develop a deep understanding of the full ecosystem of our customers (patients, clinicians, payors) and how product design can create the most value at an overall experience level (removing barriers of hardware / software / customer type)
- Work in strong collaboration and active partnership with the software development team, ensuring you are prioritizing product design tasks to where there is the highest contribution and value against our strategy and roadmap
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Degree concentration in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Interactive Design or related field; Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Jira; Experience collaborating with a hardware team on the development of a combined software/hardware product; Experience with medical device design and knowledge of FDA and IEC design guidelines; Demonstrable experience in crafting innovative solutions using techniques such as design thinking, human centered design, service design, UX/UI design, systems thinking, analytical thinking, and storytelling; Proven ability to deliver value in a complex and changing environment; Ability to influence and build strong credibility with diverse and challenging stakeholder groups; Excellent communication skills; Highly reliable to meet tight project deadlines while juggling many competing priorities
Qualifications
