About the Role
We are looking for a UX Design Lead to own the end-to-end user experience for our biometric iris-verification ecosystem. This role spans the full journey of both the person being scanned and the device operator who facilitates verification across a global deployment environment. You will shape every touchpoint—physical, digital, audio, and environmental—and ensure a seamless, intuitive, and trustworthy experience.
What You’ll Own
- Define and evolve the complete experience for participants and operators across all contexts of use.
- Create unified experience principles and frameworks that scale across product lines, regions, and user profiles.
- Physical Touchpoints:
- Content, cues, and instructional elements on:
- Out-of-box experience (OOBE)
- Device surfaces and enclosure
- Device stands, accessories, and deployment environments
- Digital Touchpoints:
- UX for all digital surfaces, including:
- On-device UI
- Remote displays and operator consoles
- Mobile apps
- Web flows
- Multi-Sensory Cues:
- Design and specify:
- Audio cues and sound design
- Lighting cues and behaviors
- Haptics or physical feedback
- Research & Insight Development:
- Plan and conduct user research with participants, operators, and deployment partners.
- Translate insights into product requirements, prototypes, service flows, and design guidelines.
- New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Lead UX development from concept through launch for new hardware and software products.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure intent is preserved through build stages.
- In-Field Sustaining:
- Monitor the performance of the end-to-end experience in real-world deployments.
- Drive iterative improvements to flows, instructions, cues, and physical artifacts based on data and field feedback.
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years of UX, service design, or multi-modal experience design, ideally with hardware + software products.
- An expert in designing experiences that blend physical, digital, and sensory inputs.
- Hands-on prototyping skills (Figma, motion, audio, physical mockups).
- Ability to lead research, synthesize complex data, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Experience working closely with hardware engineering, ID, firmware, and product teams is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with high ambiguity.
