Senior UX Designer, Digital Acceleration

About the role

Join the team that defines user experience for the Amazon's Digital products (Kindle, Music, Video, Prime etc.). Amazon’s Digital Acceleration team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to lead and raise the UX bar. We seek an individual with the creative vision, customer obsession, and technical acumen to deliver customer obsessed UX that measurably improves our post purchase experience.

Responsibilities

• Bring a strong, customer-obsessed point of view
• Synthesize consumer insights, business opportunities, product analytics, and competitive intelligence into concepts that scale
• Lead design activities like brainstorming, user testing and iteration to turn concepts into tangible solutions
• Create design artifacts like user flows, wireframes, visual mocks, and prototypes to communicate your ideas
• Independently present work, socialize ideas, and manage stakeholder expectations
• Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product development to ship results
• Work with the team to identify, track success metrics for design

Requirements

• 8+ years of design experience
• Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Qualifications

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Knowledge of usability principles and techniques
